As we emerge from our homes we can begin to gather again in person for
worship. The council has discussed the ways in which we can do this
safely. Services are being held on Sundays at 8:30am and 10am. Weather
permitting, all services are held outdoors. The pews of the outdoor
chapel are now in a configuration that allows six feet between
worshiping households. The service does not include live singing, group
speech, or communion at this time. If we need to move worship indoors
we are limited to a maximum capacity of 47. We are encouraging anyone
planning to attend worship to call or email the church office (firstname.lastname@example.org)
so that we can be prepared. Worship participants are asked to wear a
mask and respect social distancing. Coffee hour is suspended until
further notice. We will provide hand sanitizer and have masks available
for anyone that may have left theirs at home.
The church building has been sanitized with a CDC approved agent and continues to be treated following any type of building use. High touch surfaces are cleaned in areas that are used by staff and guests.
Anyone that is not yet ready enough to return to a group setting can continue to gather for worship through Facebook and YouTube, (Streaming worship info here). We want the members of our congregation to know they are valued as active participants in the life of the church whenever they chose to return in person, or continue to gather virtually. If you have any questions or concerns please contact the church office or reach out to any council member. We have made every effort to successfullly carry on our ministry together this year and we look forward to continuing Christ’s work together with you in the months and years ahead.
Peace be with you,
Congregational Council President
